What You'll Do
- Lead business development and sales initiatives for products used in nutritional supplements, cosmetics, and functional foods, focusing on the Spanish market while maintaining strategic ties to Italy.
- Sell high-value ingredients including phytonutrients, standardized herbal extracts, specialty fine chemicals, and organic intermediates to B2B clients in regulated industries.
- Travel approximately 50% of the time to meet with clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring strong commercial relationships and identifying new growth opportunities.
- Make regular visits to the company’s head office in Germany to align with internal teams and support cross-regional strategy.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience in B2B sales within the food ingredients or supplement industry.
- Background in commercial roles with a focus on sales and marketing strategies for science-based products.
- Hold a scientific degree in food technology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biology, or a related field.
- Fluency in both English and Italian is required to support client engagement and cross-border collaboration.
- Proven track record selling supplements to clients in the food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries, particularly within Italy.
- Experience working with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), either as a supplier or within such a company, is essential.
- Demonstrated success in sales-driven environments with the ability to independently manage a pipeline and close deals.
Work Mode
This role is home office based in Madrid, offering flexibility while requiring regular travel to the German head office and client sites across Spain and Italy. The position supports a hybrid model combining remote work with in-person engagement.
