Sofarsounds is looking for a Local Producer to shape our cultural presence in your city. This freelance, commission-based role is for self-starters who want to own the vision and execution of Sofar’s intimate concert experiences, blending entrepreneurial drive with deep local connections to build community through music.
What You'll Do
- Strengthen Sofar’s brand in your local community and sell tickets with self-directed marketing tactics.
- Create a vision and execute your city’s strategy, including number of monthly shows, neighborhoods, and show themes.
- Lead curation and booking for experiences with high-quality, diverse artists and venues, and grow networks as needed.
- Own the staffing and quality of shows in your local market to ensure magical, hospitality-rooted experiences.
- Manage your city’s financial performance to ensure the success and health of every event.
- Build relationships with local businesses to drive sales of sponsorships and private events.
- Identify and build relationships with local organizations with like-minded audiences to build community and co-promote shows.
- Collaborate with other local leaders to grow your city through diverse experiences that generate buzz and amplify Sofar’s brand.
- Support Sofar’s Business Partnerships and Global Communities teams by ensuring high-quality curation and seamless operations for inbound partnership opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Deep connections to your local scene and an active role in building community around it.
- 3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions.
- Experience selling event sponsorships or marketing activations, preferably in live events or experiential marketing.
- Confidence pitching ideas and event concepts to potential sponsors with a track record of closing partnership deals.
- Strong pulse on your city, its unique neighborhoods, and where people spend their free time.
- Natural connector skilled at building relationships with diverse community-driven organizations, media partners, or local businesses.
- Understanding of how to promote and build strategic alliances to sell more tickets.
- Professionalism and ownership in work, ensuring the best experience for artists, venues, partners, and guests.
- Exceptional time management skills and clear communication.
- Ability to work autonomously while remaining connected to the broader organization.
- Must be based in the designated city for this hybrid role.
- Comfort working alongside other Producers and collaborating as part of a shared market.
