APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Local CDL Ready Mix Driver to be the face of our company, ensuring safe and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to a variety of projects and customers. You'll operate modern equipment independently in both industrial and residential settings, backed by a supportive team.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate ready mix trucks to deliver concrete to job sites and company locations.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections by DOT standards.
- Load and unload equipment and materials as needed.
- Monitor gauges and vehicle systems during operation.
- Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
- Perform minor truck maintenance and keep your vehicle clean and orderly.
- Support your team and supervisors with additional duties as required.
- Deliver quality service and represent our company with professionalism and courtesy.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid CDL A or B license; must maintain an active, clear record.
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Hold a valid DOT medical card.
- Commitment to safe work practices and PPE usage (company provided).
- Willing to work up to 6 days a week with overtime as needed.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and travel for assignments.
- Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication, and customer service skills.
- Meet company, state, and federal driving standards.
Nice to Have
- 3+ years experience driving trucks of similar size and equipment.
- Ability to train and mentor others if experienced.
