Lazer is hiring a Live Learning Marketplace Platform Developer to join our remote team. You will play a key role in building and scaling platforms that support live learning experiences, educational content, and real-time interactions. This role is ideal for a full-stack developer who thrives in building marketplaces and has experience in EdTech or cohort-based learning.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and NextJS or Remix.
Build and optimize live learning marketplace features, including video streaming, chat, and real-time notifications.
Integrate AI-powered capabilities such as chatbots, content recommendations, and smart search.
Implement secure user authentication and authorization systems.
Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver a seamless end-user experience.
Develop dashboards for analytics and reporting.
Integrate and manage payment processing systems.
Use AI development tools such as Cursor to streamline coding workflows.
Work cross-functionally to build scalable and reliable platform features.
Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve platform performance.

What We're Looking For

Full-stack developer with strong experience in React, TypeScript, NextJS or Remix.
Proficient in PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM.
Skilled in GraphQL and API integration.
Experienced with Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools.
Proven background building marketplace or educational platforms.
Knowledge of video streaming and live session technology.
Comfortable with real-time features such as chat, notifications, and live updates.
Strong understanding of authentication and authorization systems.
Experience building analytics dashboards and integrating payment gateways.
Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of the Shopify platform (useful for potential integrations).
Experience with cohort-based learning systems or platforms.
Background in EdTech or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Familiarity with third-party video, analytics, or payment integrations.
Experience working in agile, product-focused teams.
