Job Bridge Global is hiring a Linesman to join our team responsible for the UK's electrical infrastructure. In this role, you will be essential for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground electrical power lines and systems across various locations.
What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical power lines and systems.
- Inspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and diagnose problems.
- Adhere to strict safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, measuring devices, and vehicles equipped with hydraulic lifts.
- Climb poles and work in various environments and weather conditions, including at heights, in confined spaces, and remote areas.
- Collaborate with other utility workers and professionals to complete projects efficiently.
- Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Communicate effectively with the public, colleagues, and supervisors.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of formal training in electrical linework.
- Relevant certifications, including climbing certification, lineman electrical training, and lineman health and safety training.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power generation, and distribution.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
