About the Role
The line cook will be responsible for preparing menu items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the culinary team during service hours with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing according to safety standards
- Cook food following recipes and quality guidelines during all service periods
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts
- Assist in restocking and organizing pantry and refrigeration areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
- Work efficiently under pressure during peak service hours
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely plate delivery
- Monitor food quality and presentation before leaving the kitchen
- Adapt to changing menu items and seasonal offerings
- Support senior cooks and chefs with various kitchen tasks
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and report malfunctions promptly
- Comply with health and safety regulations in all operations
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Minimize food waste through proper handling and storage
- Respond quickly to ticket orders and communicate any delays
- Maintain professional demeanor in a high-energy environment
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Follow uniform and grooming standards at all times
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes as required
- Support the execution of special event menus and promotions
- Uphold consistency in taste, portion, and appearance of dishes
- Contribute to a positive and respectful kitchen culture
- Report any supply shortages to supervisors
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use
- Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage based on experience
