Liquid Development is looking for a Lighting Artist to join our team for upcoming projects. You will craft lighting to define mood and guide players, working from start to finish on environments within a supportive, experienced team creating AAA titles.
What You'll Do
- Craft, place, and adjust light sources to achieve the desired mood, tone, and atmosphere across varied environments.
- Set up lighting rigs, manage light bakes, optimize for performance, and handle volumetric lighting.
- Collaborate with level designers and environmental artists to guide player attention and ensure visual consistency.
- Identify project needs and communicate them effectively to leads and managers.
- Apply color grading, bloom, and other screen-space effects to enhance the final look.
- Ensure high visual quality within the technical constraints of the target hardware.
What We're Looking For
- A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing recent lighting work for video games (submission required for consideration).
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Lighting Artist in the video game industry.
Nice to Have
- Experience with proprietary engine lighting pipelines outside of Unreal Engine and Unity (e.g., Frostbite).
- Experience with Maya, Houdini, and Unreal Engine.

Work Mode
