Transdev is looking for a Light Duty Mechanic based in Leesburg, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across a variety of vehicles and equipment to ensure vehicle readiness, safety, efficiency, and longevity.
What You'll Do
- Assist with preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
- Assist with mobile emergency services.
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 1 year of automotive maintenance and repair experience or technical school education.
- Possess a mechanic’s tool set.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive compensation package of $24.00 – $35.00 per hour.
- An additional $.10 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain.
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating.
