About the Role
This role focuses on managing employee relations and workforce transitions across the Asia-Pacific region, providing guidance on complex employment issues, investigations, performance management, and organizational changes while ensuring adherence to local regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations cases including performance concerns, misconduct, and workplace conflicts
- Support investigations into employee complaints with fairness and confidentiality
- Advise managers on appropriate disciplinary actions and documentation
- Guide teams through performance improvement processes
- Assist in managing employee leave and accommodation requests
- Support organizational restructuring and workforce reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies
- Partner with HR and legal teams on complex employment matters
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation
- Provide guidance during employee separations and exit processes
- Promote consistent application of HR policies across APAC
- Act as a resource during employee onboarding and role changes
- Support internal mobility and transfer processes
- Address employee engagement concerns with HR partners
- Help implement HR initiatives related to employee lifecycle management
- Monitor trends in employee relations across the region
- Escalate critical issues to senior HR leadership when needed
- Ensure timely communication during employee transitions
- Support compliance audits related to employment practices
- Maintain employee data privacy throughout case handling
Nice to Have
- HR certification such as SHRM or HRCI
- Experience in a global technology company
- Prior work in multiple APAC labor markets
- Background in employment law or legal compliance
- Experience with workforce planning or restructuring
- Familiarity with remote work policies and challenges
