Responsibilities
- Administer life benefits programs for client groups
- Process new enrollments and coverage changes accurately
- Respond to client inquiries about life benefits policies
- Verify eligibility and coverage details according to plan rules
- Maintain up-to-date records in internal systems
- Support claims resolution by providing necessary documentation
- Collaborate with insurance carriers on policy administration
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Assist in annual benefit renewals and plan updates
- Prepare reports on life benefits usage and claims trends
- Identify discrepancies in coverage and initiate corrections
- Educate clients on benefit provisions and limitations
- Track key performance metrics related to service quality
- Escalate complex cases to senior staff when necessary
- Participate in system testing for benefit platform upgrades
- Coordinate with payroll teams on premium deductions
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal data
- Conduct periodic audits of active policies
- Support open enrollment periods with additional resources
- Follow documented procedures for all benefit transactions
