North Star Care is looking for a Licensed Therapist to join our telehealth startup focused on treating Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). In this role, you will conduct teletherapy, create personalized treatment plans using genetic and diagnostic testing, and work in a fully remote, technology-forward environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct teletherapy sessions with patients.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on genetic and diagnostic testing results.
- Deliver progress updates and collaborate with the care team for effective care coordination.
- Provide counseling and support for patients with co-occurring issues in addition to AUD.
- Utilize the company mobile app to stay connected with patients and the care coordination team between appointments.
- Attend regular team meetings and participate in training to stay up-to-date on latest treatment approaches and technologies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and treatment plans in the company's electronic health record system.
What We're Looking For
- A valid and current license to practice therapy in the United States.
- Master's degree in mental health counseling or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with patients with AUD and co-occurring disorders.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in interacting with patients via teletherapy.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
- Comfort with working in a remote environment and using technology to facilitate patient care.
