Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, your skills in process optimization, compliance coordination, and technology implementation will be central to streamlining our legal operations. You'll contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting contract management, legal technology, and insurance administration.
What You'll Do
- Administer and optimize legal technology tools including policy management and contract lifecycle systems, in collaboration with IT.
- Manage the legal department’s entity management platform, ensuring effective oversight of governance, compliance, and state authorization functions.
- Handle legal holds, garnishment requests, and the collection of subpoenaed documents.
- Support legal counsel and finance in managing insurance-related processes such as certificates of insurance, surety bonds, and renewal documentation.
- Process legal invoices and vendor payments, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Contribute to state authorization and professional licensure compliance efforts.
- Maintain and update legal department web content to align with brand standards and accuracy.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, calendars, and department events.
- Serve as a notary public when required.
- Support other legal and administrative duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in legal operations or a similar administrative/legal support role.
- Strong understanding of legal technology solutions and workflow automation tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate across departments in a cross-matrixed environment.
- Comfortable working independently with initiative and sound judgment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and provide hybrid onsite support as needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience navigating legal compliance in a higher education or similarly regulated sector is a plus.

- Compensation: $75,000 – $82,000
