Smartpraxis is hiring a Legal Counsel to serve as the go-to partner for all legal matters, from contracts and compliance to intellectual property and data privacy. You will work across teams to provide clear, practical advice that supports our global growth and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, supplier, partnership, SaaS, and marketing contracts.
- Ensure compliance with global consumer laws, terms & policies, and platform regulations.
- Advise on GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy frameworks, partnering with teams to implement best practices.
- Protect and enforce trademarks and copyrights while supporting brand strategy.
- Support board governance, corporate structuring, and entity documentation.
- Handle pre-litigation matters and complaints, and coordinate with external counsel.
What We're Looking For
- A qualified lawyer with around 2–6 years PQE.
- Experience from both a top-tier law firm and an in-house role in tech or e-commerce.
- Solid expertise in commercial contracts, consumer protection, and data privacy.
- Comfortable working across both common law and civil law jurisdictions.
- Experienced in handling multi-country compliance and cross-border legal challenges.
- Skilled negotiator and clear communicator.
- Business-minded and pragmatic, able to balance legal risks with commercial opportunities.
- A self-starter who enjoys autonomy and thrives in fast-paced, remote environments.
- Fully fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with online marketplace regulations, payments, loyalty programs, or subscription models.
- Extra languages, especially Italian, Spanish, French, or Arabic.
