Computacenter is looking for a Learning & Development Consultant to serve as the primary internal consultant for managers and employees, supporting the growth of our North America business. We need someone with a background in learning, organizational development, or people-impact change management projects to help us build a high-performance culture.
What You'll Do
- Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and align with our Winning Together values.
- Provide a high level of consultancy skills to peers and customers both within the business and on project work.
- Design and implement solutions in Learning, Leadership Development, and Performance Management Culture.
- Build trusted relationships with external suppliers and select fitting offers.
- Use knowledge of best practice and industry trends to create and implement business improvements.
- Manage your own time and workload, contributing to the business strategy to help grow and develop the company.
- Demonstrate a creative and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Work closely as part of the HR team, especially in collaboration with HR Business Partners, maintaining confidentiality in all business matters.
- Establish productive relationships and networks with business leaders.
- Work with HRBPs and business leaders on people development initiatives.
- Be flexible and open to occasional travel to the UK or Europe.
- Develop effective working relationships through influencing and advising.
- Advise on and implement the adoption of Computacenter best practices and service offerings to ensure consistency.
- Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential security events or risks.
- Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- A proven track record of work experience in a challenging commercial environment.
- Experience in dealing with and influencing multi-tier management.
- Experience developing best practice policies and procedures for a functional area.
- Good knowledge and experience with SAP, MS Office, and MS Teams.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
- Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first language.
- Good self-organization and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
- A capacity to build trust, be assertive when required, and show initiative and enthusiasm.
