ActioNet, Inc. is looking for a Dell Boomi Integration Developer to join our team. In this Lean Tech Careers role, you will develop, implement, and support API and EDI integrations for internal applications and B2B partners, enhancing systems that support freight forwarding, customs, and logistics operations.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement, and support API and EDI integrations using Dell Boomi for internal applications and B2B partners.
- Work closely with product owners and technical leads to define integration requirements and recommend solutions.
- Maintain and enhance integrations across systems supporting freight forwarding, customs, and logistics operations.
- Implement mappings, transformations, and routing logic using Boomi’s visual development tools.
- Build integrations using standard data formats including EDI X12, JSON, XML, and flat files.
- Integrate with REST/SOAP APIs for real-time event-driven processes such as shipment updates and order status.
- Participate in Agile delivery teams—attend stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to testing, debugging, and deployment activities in coordination with QA and DevOps teams.
- Assist with error handling, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure integration stability and visibility.
- Document integration workflows, partner configurations, and solution patterns.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 3+ years of experience in developing, implementing, and supporting API and EDI integrations using Dell Boomi.
- Expertise in Boomi’s visual development tools for implementing mappings, transformations, and routing logic.
- Strong knowledge of EDI X12, JSON, XML, and flat files for building integrations.
- Proven experience in integrating with REST/SOAP APIs for real-time event-driven processes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including participation in stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Expertise in error handling, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure integration stability and visibility.
- Experience with documenting integration workflows, partner configurations, and solution patterns.
- Proficiency in testing, debugging, and deployment activities, coordinating with QA and DevOps teams.

- Experience with the Microsoft development stack (.NET, Azure, SQL Server).
- Background in cloud-based integration or data services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid experience with Boomi or similar iPaaS platforms (e.g., SnapLogic, Talend, Informatica).
- Knowledge of integration architecture concepts such as APIs, web services, and B2B messaging.
- Proficiency in working with REST/SOAP APIs and structured/unstructured data formats.
- Experience with SQL scripting (T-SQL, DDL/DML); SQL Server preferred.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Groovy.
- Understanding of EDI transaction sets (e.g., 850, 810, 856) and partner onboarding processes.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins is a plus.
