CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead VFX Artist to define the visual identity and future of Project Hadar, the studio's first original IP and video game. In this role, you will build and mentor a VFX team, drive R&D, design pipelines, and collaborate across disciplines to realize the project's vision.

What You'll Do

Recruit, lead, mentor, and guide VFX artists to foster innovation and excellence.
Develop and optimize VFX workflows for efficiency and quality.
Prototype, research, and integrate particle effects using Unreal Engine 5.
Collaborate with multiple disciplines to support gameplay, characters, cinematics, and environments with VFX.
Partner with directors and Production to craft the project vision and estimate workloads.
Research new and innovative workflows to push the boundaries of real-time VFX.
Ensure all VFX content is performant and stays within technical budgets.

What We're Looking For

At least 8 years of experience in the gaming industry.
At least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
Demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding VFX artists.
Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
Commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, exchanging knowledge, and driving initiatives independently.
Experience with both real-time and baked simulation techniques.
Knowledge of standard 3D software: Max, Maya, or Blender.
Understanding of rendering techniques, real-time shaders, and lighting.
Solid understanding of performance and optimization for real-time VFX.
Fluent English (both written and spoken).
A portfolio must be included with your application.
