The City of Orlando is hiring a Lead Student Advocate to perform responsible paraprofessional work focused on promoting the social, personal, and academic success of students. You'll play a key role in connecting students and families with vital support systems.
What You'll Do
- Promote the social, personal, and academic success of students.
- Assist students and families identified by school administration to recommend and coordinate appropriate intervention.
- Develop positive relationships in conjunction with the community, school, and in-home-based support.
- Monitor the quality of services for youth and families and ensure they align with expressed and observed needs.
- Exercise discretion in work.
- Monitor and document caseload progress.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Education, or a closely related field.
- One (1) year of experience promoting the social, academic, or personal success of students between the ages of birth through twenty-six.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Must pass a criminal background check and polygraph.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in the human services field.

Work is performed under established guidelines and the direction of the Program Manager.
Benefits & Compensation
- This is a full-time CONTRACT position with the same benefits as Regular full-time. Most contracts are renewable for terms of one year.
- Compensation: $25.88 - $32.995 Hourly

This role is onsite in Orlando, FL.
