At CVS Health, we are passionate about transforming health care. We are looking for a Lead Solution Architect to be accountable for the business solution designs for our key strategic initiatives. This role partners across teams to develop architectures that span business, application, data, infrastructure, platform, and security domains.

What You'll Do

Create solution architecture for key strategic initiatives, including developing architectures and runways that represent business, application/integration, data, infrastructure, platform, and security architectures.
Partner with Digital, Data and Analytics, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Application Development teams.
Develop reference architectures for cloud-native applications to be applied to apps targeted for refactor and optimization.
Clear technical roadblocks for the team.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of design and development experience.
2+ years of hands-on cloud implementation experience.
Best-in-class technical subject matter expertise and domain knowledge.
SME-level understanding of cloud design and architecture for one or more public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, preferably GCP) to deliver large-scale distributed solutions across the full enterprise stack.
SME-level technical skills in application, data, integration, and security architecture/design.
SME-level understanding of APIs (Rest, GraphQL, and gRPC) and microservices-based architecture.
Experience with Domain Driven Design: ability to map domain scope to Bounded Contexts and Microservices.
Experience working with technologies that bridge modern applications and legacy infrastructure, leveraging streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps.
Hands-on technologist with coding skills and proficiency in modern technology stacks (Cloud, DevOps, Kafka, etc.).
Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies as well as Cloud database technologies.
Demonstrable hands-on experience facilitating adoption of cloud-native/cloud-first architectures.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

GCP Architect cloud certification is preferred.
