Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is hiring a Lead Software Systems Engineer responsible for providing top-level technical expertise, designing architectures, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards. You will lead other technical personnel through complex software systems programming and analysis.
What You'll Do
- Formulate and define specifications for complex software applications or modify and maintain existing complex applications.
- Provide top-level technical expertise, performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis.
- Design architectures encompassing software, hardware, and communications to support total requirements and future interfaces.
- Ensure systems are compatible and compliant with standards for open systems and DoD architectures.
- Identify, assess, and present options for meeting functional and technical requirements, including hardware and software updates.
- Interact with project management to plan project schedules and provide technical direction.
- Develop high-level system design diagrams and be responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Instruct, direct, and check the work of other task personnel.
- Be responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.
- Provide overall operating system maintenance, including sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
- Assist all phases of software systems programming applications and evaluate new and existing software products.
What We're Looking For
- Must possess a current IT-II security clearance or a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
- Ten (10) years of experience in systems engineering and software development.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.

- MicroStrategy or other Business Intelligence platforms
- Analytics, data modeling, and dashboard design
