About the Role

Lead the design and implementation of high-impact systems while mentoring engineers and aligning technical execution with business goals in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the architecture and development of scalable backend systems
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
  • Collaborate with product teams to define roadmap priorities
  • Drive engineering best practices across multiple development squads
  • Oversee system reliability and performance optimization
  • Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis
  • Evaluate new technologies for fit within existing infrastructure
  • Ensure security standards are maintained across services
  • Facilitate sprint planning and technical estimation sessions
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Manage technical debt through proactive refactoring initiatives
  • Support recruitment by participating in technical interviews
  • Promote a culture of continuous integration and deployment
  • Monitor service metrics and establish alerting protocols
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on release timelines
  • Improve developer tooling and internal workflows
  • Champion code quality and test coverage standards
  • Guide cloud infrastructure decisions and cost optimization
  • Lead technical onboarding for new team members
  • Foster knowledge sharing through documentation and team sessions
  • Evaluate scalability challenges and propose solutions
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Drive adoption of observability tools across services
  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical vision
  • Represent engineering in executive-level planning discussions
