Kraken is looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Python/Django) to take ownership of key backend services and drive technical excellence. You'll be joining a team based in Melbourne, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our technology and mentoring engineers.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems using Python and Django
- Architect reliable, secure, and performant APIs and services
- Mentor and guide other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions
What We're Looking For
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and extensive experience with the Django framework
- A proven track record of leading technical projects from conception to production
- Strong experience in system architecture, API design, and database modeling
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and influence team members
