Revvity is seeking a Lead Software Architect/Engineer - AI Native to spearhead the development of our next-generation AI-driven Life Sciences applications. You will be responsible for leading a high-performance team to build a greenfield AI software application from the ground up, translating business and market requirements into a robust, modern technical architecture.
What You'll Do
- Manage the development of AI native product(s).
- Build and manage a high-performance engineering team.
- Translate business and go-to-market requirements into a modern technical architecture.
- Develop a greenfield AI software application using established software architecture and design patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize integration with other Signals products and identify common platform services.
- Lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers.
- Work closely with UX and product management to understand and implement product features.
- Participate in team activities such as hiring, planning, requirements definition, design discussions, code reviews, and software development.
- Work effectively with other teams such as product management, QA, Cloud Operations, and Site Reliability Engineers to build and deploy a quality product.
What We're Looking For
- BS or MS in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- 5-10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
- 5-10+ years of proven experience designing and implementing AI infrastructure, including building applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
- 5-10+ years of expert programming skills in Python and Java.
- 5-10+ years of proven experience with distributed execution frameworks like Dask, Spark, Ray, or similar.
- 5-10+ years as a subject matter expert in emerging technologies and trends in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML), Cloud Computing, Data Science, Big Data, and Cyber Security.
- 5-10+ years of proven experience with AWS.
- 5-10+ years as an expert building large-scale, highly available applications.
- Detailed knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure infrastructure, software, and AI services.
- A complete understanding of DevSecOps philosophy in software design and development including CI/CD, testing, and observability.
- Expert proficiency in cloud native design (containers, microservices, APIs).
- Strong understanding of scale, performance optimization, and building durable software.
- Experience in modern programming languages, LLMs and the use of AI code tooling (Go, Python, Java, Claude, CoPilot, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Capability to interview in-person at our headquarters in Waltham, MA USA.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience with ChemBioInformatics is highly desired.
- Experience as a full stack developer is a plus.
- Experience with open source technologies is desired.

- Salary range: $142,000 - $190,000
