Zyte is looking for a Senior IT Engineer to architect and operate the internal technology ecosystem for our global, remote company. This role treats internal IT as an engineering discipline, with a focus on code-first automation, SaaS platform integration, and introducing AI-assisted workflows.
What You'll Do
- Administer and integrate business-critical SaaS systems, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Stripe, Atlassian, GitHub, and Notion.
- Design reliable workflows and data synchronization across multiple SaaS platforms.
- Write code and build automation tooling (scripts, services, CLI tools) in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Build event-driven automation pipelines using APIs and webhooks.
- Develop internal bots and ChatOps integrations.
- Design and implement reliable, API-driven integrations between business systems, including CRM automation and data syncing.
- Build internal tools for operational efficiency (CLI tools, automation services, dashboards).
- Identify opportunities to use modern AI technologies to automate or augment internal operations (AI-powered assistants, LLM-driven knowledge retrieval).
- Create automated and developer-friendly workflows for employees (onboarding/offboarding pipelines, access provisioning, self-service automation).
- Serve as the ultimate level of IT Support for end-users in a global, remote workforce.
- Ensure continuous operational adherence to established ISO frameworks and implement comprehensive endpoint security measures.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- 3+ years in a senior engineering role responsible for internal business systems and automation in a modern SaaS or technology company.
- Strong scripting and programming ability in Python, Go, Bash, Node.js.
- Solid experience operating GCP & AWS environments (VPCs, IAM roles, EC2/S3).
- Strong experience working with external APIs (REST, GraphQL, OAuth, webhooks, SaaS SDKs).
- Deep working knowledge of macOS and Linux environments.
- Experience implementing and managing SSO / SAML / SCIM provisioning, identity lifecycle automation, and Zero Trust access models.
- Experience supporting or passing security and compliance audits (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR).
- Experience working in remote-first or globally distributed environments is strongly preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience experimenting with or implementing AI-driven automation (LLM APIs, AI copilots, semantic search, automated support).
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for running internal IT microservices.
- Experience applying SLIs/SLOs to internal IT services to measure employee experience uptime.
