CoverGo is looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer to spearhead the technical vision for our groundbreaking insurance software solutions. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers through the entire development lifecycle of our SaaS platform, ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure products. Join our international team of over 120 people from 30 nationalities as we drive innovation in the Insurtech market.
What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of the SaaS platform, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Full Stack Engineers, fostering growth through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive architectural decisions and establish coding standards and best practices for scalability and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce quality standards, and promote continuous improvement through testing and automation.
- Identify technical debt and scalability bottlenecks, leading initiatives to optimize system performance.
- Champion security and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development and advocate for their adoption.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a technical role with a track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Extensive hands-on Full Stack development experience using Node.js and related technologies (minimum 8 years).
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies: Node.js, Vue.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, and TypeScript.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- In-depth knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and testing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Thorough understanding of web security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and proficiency in cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
