Deutsche India Private Limited, Mumbai Branch is looking for a Lead Engineer to join its Treasury Technology team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of engineering solutions, providing thought leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring all outputs align with strategic architecture and security standards.
What You'll Do
- Define and develop the technical architecture of IT solutions following consistent design patterns and best practices.
- Create and implement strategic solutions, including hands-on development, while considering risks and benefits.
- Ensure solution design aligns with target architecture blueprints, principles, and overarching DB architecture and security standards.
- Create and maintain appropriate technical design documentation.
- Participate in the strategic development of platform architecture and infrastructure.
- Participate in SDLC cycles to ensure production infrastructure is compatible with impending feature releases.
- Perform risk assessments of engineering solutions and designs.
- Contribute to analysis for new business requirements.
- Work with peer teams to deliver successfully on integration points.
- Participate in SL3, production issues investigation and resolution.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in the IT industry within the Finance domain.
- Deep knowledge of Java, the JVM, and object orientation principles.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in Google Cloud, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern build tools like Maven and Jenkins.
- Deep knowledge of SQL, relational, and no-sql databases.
- Knowledge in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, HTML5, Bootstrap, Node.js) and REST principles.
- Experience in using AI tools.
- Significant development experience working within an agile environment using modern engineering practices.
- Experience using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
- Hands-on practical experience in architecture designs and engaging with the organization to build consensus.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and SRE best practices and CICD tooling such as GitHub and Terraform.
- Extensive knowledge in Financial Services environments, preferably in the Treasury domain.
- Knowledge of architecture and design approaches that support rapid, incremental and iterative delivery, such as SOA or Microservices.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Python is desirable.
- Experience performing Functional Analysis is highly desirable.
