CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead Engineer to lead the Localization Tech team, responsible for delivering systems for dialogue authoring and pipelines across all projects. You will collaborate closely with designers, writers, and project managers to ensure a top-quality dialogue and cinematic experience.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support a Localization Tech engineering team.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and cross-functional departments.
- Foster growth within the development team and nurture technical talent.
- Develop and maintain core technical features and pipelines for dialogue authoring, content, and related Unreal Engine systems.
- Optimize and debug features and pipelines in collaboration with QA.
- Ensure alignment across teams (designers, writers, QA, etc.) to deliver cohesive experiences.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience working in Unreal Engine, ideally on AA or AAA projects.
- Direct experience with video game Dialogue authoring tools and pipelines such as screenplay editors, voice overs, scene editors, or localization tools.
- Proven experience leading a development team of around 7 members or similar scale.
- Credited on at least one shipped AA or AAA title in a lead or management role.
- Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Experience in risk management and team development.
- Strong working proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Values open, constructive feedback and respectful dialogue.
Nice to Have
- Experience with relational databases is a big plus.
- Experience with gRPC is a big plus.
- Experience in C# and .NET is a plus.
