EX Squared is hiring a Lead Data Engineer to provide technical leadership for our data platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our business-critical analytics and products.
What You'll Do
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure
- Lead the design and implementation of data models, warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes
- Establish and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other data team members
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand data needs
- Drive optimization, monitoring, and performance tuning of data systems
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of professional data engineering experience
- Proven track record of leading complex data projects from design to production
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Deep experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for cross-functional partners
