What You'll Do
- Assess and advocate for data management technologies to eliminate gaps between current and future states.
- Interpret and deliver strategic plans that improve data integration, quality, and delivery.
- Formulate architectural trade-offs and recommend optimal solutions.
- Lead teams of data engineers through design, implementation, and best practices.
- Provide insights to executive stakeholders to ensure data architecture maximizes client data value.
- Ensure recommended solutions provide business value and align with strategic goals.
- Communicate the value of modern enterprise data solutions to non-technical executives.
- Drive innovative solutions through thought leadership on emerging trends.
- Share project solutions and outcomes with colleagues to improve future delivery.
- Provide leadership within the Data & Analytics practice area, growing capabilities and talent.
- Partner with the business development team to demonstrate technical capabilities and estimate work plans.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience implementing on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytics technologies.
- Advanced proficiency designing modern data architectures using cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time tools (Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, Airflow), NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase, CosmosDB), and modern data warehouses (Snowflake, DataBricks).
- Advanced proficiency in end-to-end data architecture solutions including ingestion, storage, and relational modeling with SQL and Python.
- Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions to business needs and client culture.
- Ability to assess traditional and modern data architectural components based on business needs.
- Experience recommending data governance best practices including MDM, security, privacy, and policies.
- Experience leading enterprise engineering teams, serving as the point of contact for design decisions and best practices.
