Great Minds seeks a Lead Curriculum Developer - Spanish Literacy to own the development and maintenance of our high-quality, knowledge-building Spanish language curriculum. In this role, you'll translate our mission into exceptional print and digital materials for K-6 students, leading projects and coaching other developers.
What You'll Do
- Lead projects or significant aspects of work, providing reviews to ensure quality and alignment with our product vision.
- Contribute to and execute the realization of our curricular vision, designing learning activities and assessments.
- Author high-quality print and digital curricular components demonstrating superior pedagogical and content knowledge.
- Guide products through the development process, serving as a liaison between internal and external developers and reviewers.
- Ensure materials adhere to our knowledge-building vision, established systems, and editorial guidelines.
- Collaborate with managers to facilitate workshops for curriculum developers on writing and guidelines.
- Elevate pedagogical design elements based on your expertise, such as supporting multilingual learners.
- Support, develop, and coach others by providing clear, actionable feedback on content.
- Develop scaffolds and lesson designs to meet the needs of all students, including multilingual learners.
- Manage progress towards large-scale project timelines with managers and stakeholders.
- Maintain ongoing communication with product leaders and cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and solve problems.
- Cultivate strong working relationships across the organization to ensure alignment with our mission and goals.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 7 years' experience developing high-quality, knowledge-building bilingual curriculum at the K-6 grade level.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish.
- Extensive experience developing text-based K-6 Spanish literacy curricular materials aligned to standards.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and providing coaching and feedback to support others' development.
- Significant experience developing curriculum using an iterative cycle of ideation, prototyping, drafting, review, and revision.
- Deep content knowledge and pedagogical expertise in K-6 Spanish literacy and bilingual classrooms.
- Deep respect for and alignment to the philosophy and instructional design of Great Minds’ knowledge-building vision.
- Exceptional ability to navigate an environment where leadership often drives vision and content decisions.
- High capacity to receive and apply feedback from advisors, senior leadership, consultants, and colleagues.
- Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to produce content aligned to organizational and product vision.
- Excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills to incorporate diverse viewpoints.
- Strong organizational habits for successful goal setting and collective decision-making.
- Outstanding writing skills with a capacity for precise, detail-oriented work using development guidelines.
- Ability to problem solve to create high-quality products by established deadlines.
- Proficiency with technology and comfort learning new applications.
- Facility working with tools required within digital spaces, including Smartsheet, SharePoint, Excel, InCopy, MS Office 365, and the Google suite.
- Ability to remain flexible in an ambiguous, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $90,000-$97,000
