Mydiscoverbenefits is seeking a Lead Collections Specialist for PM shifts to service delinquent credit card accounts through outbound, inbound, and digital messaging channels. You will minimize losses by assessing customer situations to provide relevant payment options while strengthening relationships in a fast-paced call center environment.

What You'll Do

Service delinquent credit card accounts through varying contact channels including outbound, inbound, and digital messaging.
Minimize losses by assessing each customer situation to provide relevant payment options while strengthening the customer relationship.
Utilize professional and influential communication to keep customer goodwill while securing payments.
Use multi-tasking skills to handle back-to-back calls in a fast-paced call center environment.
Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Review past due accounts and call customers to arrange an acceptable payment program.
Build rapport with cardmembers and work with customers to secure repayment on delinquent accounts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Handle difficult collection calls as determined by center management.

What We're Looking For

H.S. Diploma or GED
2+ years Collections experience
2+ years Advanced-level experience in customer service, detail orientation, professionalism, verbal communication, collections, negotiation, compliance, and system/computer fluency
1+ years Working-level experience in listening skills

Nice to Have

3+ years Collections experience
2+ years Advanced-level experience in problem solving and influencing
1+ years Working-level experience in decision making

Compensation: $23.25 to $30.50 per hour
