Global Canopy was looking for a Language Consultants (Forest 500 & Floresta 250)

Global Canopy is hiring Language Consultants to provide essential research and translation support for our Forest 500 and Floresta 250 assessments. In this role, you will help identify and analyze company and financial institution policies on deforestation, working collaboratively as part of a small team dedicated to environmental accountability.

What You'll Do

  • Locate and catalogue policies and disclosed information from companies and financial institutions regarding their deforestation commitments in your assigned foreign language(s).
  • Provide accurate translations from your assigned foreign language(s) into English for further analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Tracking team to complete the Forest 500 and Floresta 250 annual assessments.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated research skills with a strong focus on detail and accuracy and the ability to clearly communicate findings.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Fluency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Russian, or Japanese.
  • Ability to analyze qualitative data using a defined methodology.
  • Knowledge of deforestation issues and related supply chains.

Team & Environment

You will work collaboratively as part of a small team, contributing directly to our global assessment work.
