EDP is seeking a Land Administrator to serve as the essential link between our renewable energy portfolio and our landowners. You will apply your expertise in lease administration and customer service to manage payments, resolve inquiries, and ensure our land obligations are met with accuracy and professionalism.
What You'll Do
- Provide clear, courteous front-line support to landowners via phone, email, and mail; explain rent and royalty statements and calculations in plain language.
- Administer the landowner web portal to ensure inquiries are addressed timely and accurately.
- Research and resolve payment issues, coordinating corrections with Settlements and Accounting.
- Manage change of ownership requests from intake to validation, updating payee records accurately.
- Read and interpret leases, easements, surface use, and option agreements to resolve inquiries and ensure compliance.
- Maintain complete, organized records in the land management system, ensuring data integrity.
- Draft and issue professional correspondence in partnership with Legal.
- Partner with Legal, Development, Asset Operations, and Finance to cure title defects and resolve boundary discrepancies.
- Monitor and report case metrics; recommend and help implement process improvements.
- Support internal and external audits by compiling documentation and responding promptly.
- Participate in landowner meetings, open houses, and occasional site visits.
- Model a high standard of customer service and de‑escalate confrontational conversations with empathy.
- Ensure compliance with applicable real estate laws, privacy requirements, tax reporting, and company policies.
What We're Looking For
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Energy Management, Paralegal Studies, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in land administration, lease administration, title, right‑of‑way, minerals, or real estate operations.
- Proven ability to read and interpret leases and easements; working knowledge of real estate law concepts.
- Understanding of rent and royalty calculations, owner decimal interests, and basic accounting concepts.
- Proficiency with land management databases, document control systems, and Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Exceptional customer service, active listening, and de‑escalation skills.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills to handle a high-volume queue.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 10% and work a hybrid schedule.
- Ability to apply EDPR NA’s visions and values, be self-motivated, and work collaboratively.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to quantitatively analyze data and present results visually and qualitatively.
- Ability to sit or stand for 8 or more hours in an office environment.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
