Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze samples using standardized methods and internal procedures.
- Guide team workflow and manage daily operational priorities.
- Create, review, submit, and archive reports for client samples, correlation studies, calibrations, validations, and project proposals.
- Review and approve technical datasheets and client-facing reports as authorized.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, qualify, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Validate and assess testing methodologies, SOPs, and departmental documentation related to operations, safety, and quality.
- Respond to, investigate, and follow up on client inquiries and complaints.
- Provide limited technical assistance internally and externally to sales, marketing, customer service, and clients on testing and reporting matters.
- Enter and maintain technical data in LIMS and other digital or physical record systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with laboratory technicians and assistants on sample intake, logging, pretreatment, preparation, and testing activities.
- Manage multiple testing projects under strict timelines and deliverables.
- Adhere to corporate and local health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Complete additional assignments as directed by management.
- Assign tasks and projects to team members based on incoming workload.
- Oversee daily department operations to ensure timely report delivery to clients.
- Log supply orders in SharePoint, including purchase orders or p-card transactions, required for testing activities.
Responsibilities
- Sample preparation and analysis following official methods and company/laboratory SOPs.
- Area Leader guides the work flow for the department
- Develop, review, submit, and file reports on client sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation, proposal, and other projects.
- Authorized to review and sign datasheets and client reports.
- Routine operation, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and trouble-shooting of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Perform and validate test methods, laboratory SOPs, and other department level operating, safety, and quality documents.
- Investigation of, response to, and follow-up of client inquiries and complaints.
- Limited internal and external technical support to marketing, sales, customer services, and clients regarding test, report, and other technical information.
- Input technical information in LIMS and other electronic and physical data systems and ensure all information is up to date and maintained.
- Coordinate with other laboratory technicians and/or assistants on sample receiving, logging, pretreatment, preparation, testing and other tasks.
- Conduct multiple projects within tight deadlines.
- Comply with local and corporate QHSE requirements.
- Other projects and tasks assigned by company and supervisors.
- Assign tasks and projects to department based on incoming projects
- Manage day to day work flow of the department ensuring on time delivery of reports to clients
- Enter orders into Sharepoint for supplies needed to perform testing (PO or p-card)
