About the Role

Knobelsdorff Enterprises is hiring a Field Safety Coordinator to support our Energy division by maintaining high safety standards on active job sites across Southern Illinois. You’ll be responsible for field-level safety training, site inspections, documentation, and supporting project teams in executing our safety expectations.

What You'll Do

  • Support job site teams with safety guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Monitor and audit safety documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct field audits and participate in pre-task planning like tailgate talks.
  • Promote proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Coordinate with the Safety Manager on standards, reporting, and updates.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to identify project-specific safety needs.
  • Prepare safety statistics, trip reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted on-site safety resource for field crews.
  • Travel to active job sites on a regular basis.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED and Fall Protection Competent Person certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and work in field conditions.

Nice to Have

  • Associate degree in safety or construction.
  • OSHA 510/511/500/501 certifications.
  • One year of field safety experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70, 70E, 70B, and photovoltaic (solar) construction.
  • Safety certifications such as GSP, CSP, ASP, CHST.
  • Spanish bilingual skills.

This role supports the Energy division and coordinates closely with the Safety Manager.

Work Mode
