Kinetic is seeking a Senior Account Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering best-in-class Out-of-Home (OOH) solutions. You'll serve as the key contact for a portfolio of agencies and clients, ensuring exceptional service, strategic insight, and commercial growth.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary lead contact for planning OOH solutions, working closely with clients, agencies, and media owners to plan and execute campaigns.
- Ensure your team consistently delivers the highest level of service, meeting agreed criteria and KPIs.
- Build and maintain excellent rapport with key media owners, ensuring optimal value and target adherence.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of vendor news and activity, providing informed perspectives to clients and internal teams.
- Proactively identify and resolve challenging client issues, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Innovate and develop new ways of servicing client and agency needs, delegating responsibilities effectively.
- Place creativity at the forefront, promoting data-led planning via Aureus and driving innovation and technology in OOH.
- Play a significant role in client audits, collaborating closely with Trading and Investment teams.
- Drive the adoption of all WPP Media OOH's offerings and specialist business units to generate revenue.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities for growth, actively seeking ways to drive additional revenue.
- Ensure the team consistently adheres to service charters and booking systems.
- Demonstrate expert use of all WPP Media OOH and industry tools and systems, providing training where needed.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of WPP Media OOH’s 4D planning philosophy, ensuring its consistent application.
- Promote and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and agencies on the convergence of OOH with mobile, digital, and social media.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire your team to deliver effective OOH solutions.
- Oversee and actively develop Account Directors, Senior Account Managers, and Account Managers.
- Act as a mentor and sounding board for more junior staff, leading by example.
- Contribute to wider WPP Media OOH business initiatives, including training, forums, and tool development.
- Actively participate in WPP Media OOH initiatives such as All In Groups and company events.
- Embrace an agile approach, working across the wider WPP Media OOH business as required.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of demonstrable success in a media planning environment.
- Strong understanding of media in general and deep expertise in OOH.
- Strong understanding and proficient use of MS Office / Windows (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Confidence in using internal technical tools, with an aptitude for quickly adapting to new technology and systems.
- Excellent understanding of social media and internet trends.
- Excels at building positive, productive, and respectful relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Can seamlessly navigate between strategic thinking and meticulous day-to-day detail.
- Is commercially astute and actively contributes to business objectives.
- Demonstrates excellent multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Is confident, engaging, positive, and open to possibilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- GCSEs (Grade 6/B or above) in English Language and Maths, A-Levels or equivalent, and a university degree.
