Role Overview

This position is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key accounts in the pharmacy, wholesale, and retail healthcare sectors across the UK and Ireland. As the primary liaison for assigned customers, the specialist ensures alignment between client needs and solution offerings, supporting the expansion of automation technology within the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with major pharmacy groups, wholesalers, retail chains, and leading independent providers.
  • Assess customer requirements and align them with appropriate automation solutions to deliver measurable value.
  • Create and execute account plans, including forecasting, pipeline tracking, and performance analysis.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to strengthen engagement, support retention, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales teams by qualifying leads, preparing proposals, and providing product details and follow-up support.
  • Organize and coordinate product demonstrations, facility tours, and virtual presentations in partnership with the sales organization.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and ensure data integrity across sales operations.
  • Support the development and rollout of marketing campaigns tailored to the UK market, aligned with regional strategy.
  • Assist in planning events, trade shows, customer days, webinars, and digital outreach initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of localized marketing materials as needed.
  • Monitor industry developments and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent the business at exhibitions and conferences alongside the Pharmacy Automation team.
  • Work closely with installation, service, and customer support teams to ensure smooth implementation and post-sale experiences.
  • Provide guidance on after-sales service inquiries and support resolution pathways.
  • Partner with internal teams on quotations, contract coordination, order processing, and compliance requirements.
  • Deliver insights to leadership to aid in decision-making, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for non-technical customer issues related to assigned accounts.
  • Guide customers through purchasing workflows, documentation, and communication stages during installation.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Keep CRM records up to date and submit regular reports on account activity and sales pipeline progress.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning cycles with data-driven input.

Qualifications

Candidates should bring experience in key account management, sales coordination, or commercial support—preferably within healthcare, medical technology, pharmacy, or tech-driven industries. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are essential for engaging stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and fluency in Microsoft 365 applications are required. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-moving environments and can balance multiple priorities effectively.

Experience in marketing campaign support or execution is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is £32,400 to £49,425 GBP.
