The Princeton Review is hiring a K-12 Math Tutor (Remote)

About the Role

The tutor will deliver customized math instruction to students in grades K through 12, adapting lessons to individual learning styles and academic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one math tutoring sessions to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Adapt teaching methods to match each student's learning style and pace
  • Identify knowledge gaps and create targeted plans to address them
  • Support students in mastering grade-level math concepts and problem-solving skills
  • Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student development
  • Prepare lesson materials tailored to individual student needs
  • Encourage student confidence and engagement in mathematics
  • Maintain punctuality and consistency in scheduled sessions
  • Use digital tools and platforms to facilitate remote learning
  • Stay current with curriculum standards across grade levels
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
  • Help students prepare for assessments and school exams
  • Promote long-term academic growth in math
  • Respond promptly to scheduling and administrative requests

Nice to Have

  • Teaching certification or state licensure in education
  • Experience with standardized test preparation
  • Familiarity with multiple math instruction methodologies
  • Master’s degree in mathematics or education
  • Experience using adaptive learning technologies
