The Hong Kong Jockey Club seeks a Junior Trader to join the Football Trading team within the Wagering Products Division. You will play a key role in our unique integrated business model that generates social value for the community. Your work will involve formulating odds and maximizing betting profitability while adhering to the highest standards of responsible wagering.
What You'll Do
- Formulate and communicate odds for events by compiling information and market data.
- Maximize betting profitability by identifying opportunities, executing price changes, and monitoring customer and market performance.
- Conduct customer analysis and industry research, executing projects and reporting findings to enhance business strategies.
- Ensure compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy and all legal requirements pertaining to wagering.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy and capability in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Extensive knowledge of major sports and the ability to explain odds.
- The ability to stay calm and concentrate for long periods under pressure.
- Flexibility to work the hours required, including nights and weekends.
Nice to Have
- Relevant experience in the sports betting industry with prior exposure to sports trading management and fixed-odds markets compilation.
Technical Stack
- Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
