Chemin is looking for a Junior Project Manager (German-speaking) to join our Delivery Team. In this part-time role, you will work closely with Project Delivery Executives to ensure the successful execution of German-language AI data annotation projects. This is a hands-on, junior position focused on operations, people management, and quality execution.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day operational support to ensure German-language projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Assist with project setup, planning, and guideline development.
- Support annotator onboarding, training, and ongoing guidance.
- Manage and support a remote team of German-speaking annotators.
- Act as the language quality gatekeeper, ensuring submissions meet required accuracy and quality thresholds (target: 95%).
- Perform detailed quality checks to identify language, formatting, and annotation issues before client submission.
- Guide annotators through questions and challenges via internal communication platforms.
- Handle project administration tasks in line with internal and client standards.
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders on project progress, risks, and quality issues.
- Apply strong time management and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in German (Native or B2+ required).
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
- 0–2 years of experience in project management, operations, or people management in any capacity.
- Prior experience managing tasks, timelines, or contributors (work, internship, freelance, or extracurricular).
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle language and annotation errors.
- Fast learner, self-driven, and comfortable working in fast-paced project environments.
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when supporting and guiding remote teams.
- Technically competent in Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on data annotation, language, or AI-related projects.
- Experience leading or supporting small to medium-sized teams.
- Background in linguistics, language studies, or similar fields.
- Prior experience working with or for AI/data companies.
- Familiarity with sourcing or engaging German-speaking communities from your region.
- Proficiency in additional languages.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid role. You can work fully remote or have the option to work from our Damansara Heights office in Kuala Lumpur on Mondays and Fridays.
