HERO Software is hiring a (Junior) Produktentwickler (m/w/d)

HERO Software is looking for a (Junior) Produktentwickler (m/w/d) to join our yfood team. You will take ownership of product development projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to our development process while continuously improving our product formulations. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to bring innovations to market.

What You'll Do

• Independently manage and support product development projects following the established process.
• Focus on improving and continuously developing existing food formulations.
• Ensure timely and structured project implementation, tackling challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.
• Organize and evaluate regular product tastings.
• Represent yfood externally to suppliers, manufacturers, and other partners.

What We're Looking For

• A successfully completed degree in food technology or a comparable path (e.g., Meister, Techniker).
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in product development.
• Knowledge in product development, the food industry, process engineering, and food safety.
• An analytical, critical mindset coupled with a structured and precise way of working.
• Goal-oriented approach with strong time management and the ability to stay calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
• A hands-on mentality and a high degree of independence to handle projects and tasks on your own.
• Cooperative attitude and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Fluency in German and English (C1 level) in both speech and writing.

Nice to Have

• Practical experience with manufacturing processes for baked goods, confectionery, dairy products, or similar.
