As a Junior Lawyer / Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the legal and HR documentation infrastructure across a globally distributed organization. Working closely with senior legal professionals, you will ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in employment-related processes while enabling strategic legal support through reliable administrative and drafting assistance.
What You'll Do
- Deliver hands-on administrative and legal support to the in-house legal team, including document formatting, translation, and tracking of internal legal requests
- Prepare, revise, and maintain employment agreements, addendums, and HR templates under supervision
- Manage and enhance a centralized library of legal and HR documents to ensure global alignment and ease of access
- Track evolving labour laws in applicable regions, summarize key changes, and alert senior staff to potential compliance implications
- Support internal audits and compliance checks by identifying procedural gaps in HR workflows and escalating concerns appropriately
- Help draft and update internal policies, codes of conduct, and HR procedures to reflect current legal standards
- Act as the initial contact for routine HR inquiries related to onboarding, offboarding, and standard employee documentation
- Produce concise legal summaries, internal memos, and briefing notes on employment law matters
- Assist with complex personnel processes such as disciplinary actions, terminations, and organizational restructuring, with increasing autonomy over time
- Ensure all legal records and correspondence are systematically organized and securely maintained
Requirements
- Law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of one year of experience in a legal or paralegal role, preferably involving direct engagement with HR or employment documentation
- Fluency in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher), with strong written accuracy essential for daily contract and document work
- Fluency in Ukrainian
- Demonstrated comfort with operational and administrative tasks — you take ownership and pride in thorough, precise execution
- Ability to independently research unfamiliar legal systems, interpret regulations, and propose practical next steps
- Clear, professional communication skills across teams and time zones
- Strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards in handling sensitive information

- Specialized knowledge or academic focus in Labour or Employment Law
