Corewell Health is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support our mission to improve health, instill humanity, and inspire hope. In this onsite role at Butterworth Hospital, you will provide a safe and functional environment through expert electrical maintenance and service.
What You'll Do
- Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, customers, other trades, and subcontractors to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective maintenance.
- Perform comprehensive electrical maintenance, including assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of conduit, junction boxes, and fixtures for lighting, power, and other systems.
- Measure, cut, and install conduit, wire, and fittings using hand and power tools.
- Document procedures and completed work in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and safe use of equipment and supplies, keeping work areas orderly and safe.
- Perform electrical construction work, including layout, demolition, and construction of all types of electrical systems.
- Ensure all electrical services comply with legal specifications, electrical codes, organizational policy, and compliance requirements.
- Plan and coordinate workflow with other trades and act as a resource for electrical systems.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Valid Michigan Driver's License
- Valid Electrical License for Grand Rapids, Michigan
