About this Position We are recruiting an Accounting Manager to manage daily financial operations, facilitate financial reporting, and lead a team of Accounting Specialists and Senior Accountants. The role involves directing fundamental accounting functions including general ledger, prepaid accounts, fixed asset, and ATM accounting. You'll support month-end closing, annual reporting, and financial analysis while identifying opportunities to optimize processes and enhance precision. This opportunity suits professionals who excel in leadership, problem-solving, and improving accounting operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities - Supervise daily accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion - Prepare and validate journal entries, financial reports, subsidiary ledger reconciliations, and processor reports - Assist with budget development, variance evaluation, and quality control for tax reporting and regulatory submissions - Detect operational gaps and implement improvements to increase departmental effectiveness - Lead accounting professionals through coaching, development, performance management, and regular communications - Maintain robust interdepartmental communication, provide staff assistance, and keep leadership informed of critical updates - Guarantee compliance with GAAP, internal protocols, regulations, and Credit Union standards Skills/Requirements - Minimum 5 years accounting experience, including supervisory roles - Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliation, and closing processes - Proven experience preparing journal entries, analyzing variances, and reviewing complex financial data - Capability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and interpret accounting standards - Proficiency in accounting systems, reporting tools, and computer applications - Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with ability to provide clear team guidance - Capacity to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate across departments Additional Information - Hybrid scheduling possible based on performance and relationship effectiveness - Must adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union standards - Contract specifics, scheduling details, and extension potential discussable during interview process Pay Range Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 YUPRO Placement represents the leading skills-focused placement firm, connecting historically marginalized talent with permanent, apprenticeship, and contract opportunities.
