What You'll Do
Design and implement new features for a high-performance Banking API that enables secure financial data aggregation and payment processing. Develop robust backend components aligned with user requirements and system architecture. Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure system stability and reliability.
Participate in code reviews to maintain strong coding standards and contribute to continuous improvement. Monitor backend service health by actively managing alerting systems and ensuring high availability. Expand connectivity with European bank APIs to improve coverage and responsiveness across diverse customer use cases.
Work closely with Product Management, Support, and engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet both technical and business needs. Help shape system evolution through proactive input on architecture and functionality.
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong interest in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
- Familiarity with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases and containerization using Docker
- Solid grasp of RESTful service design and development tools such as IntelliJ and JUnit
- Commitment to writing clean, testable code with attention to performance and maintainability
- Problem-solving mindset with a practical approach to technical challenges
- Fluency in English is required for cross-team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in financial technology, especially with PSD2 (XS2A), FinTS, or HBCI protocols
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Git, Maven, or Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
- Knowledge of OpenAPI, Liquibase, and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
- Exposure to AWS services in production environments
