Chime is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator with CMMC implementation experience to join our team. You will play a critical role in helping our organization achieve and maintain Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance. This position involves assessing our current systems, implementing required security controls, and guiding us through the readiness and formal certification process.
What You'll Do
- Support our overall CMMC implementation efforts and roadmap.
- Conduct gap assessments against CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
- Assist with the development and ongoing updates to the System Security Plan (SSP) and POA&M.
- Implement and document required security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance across all systems and processes.
- Support audit readiness and evidence collection activities.
- Secure our IT infrastructure, including IAM, endpoint security, networks, and cloud environments.
- Provide guidance on best practices for federal compliance environments.
- Assist with ongoing monitoring and maintenance of compliance post-certification.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as an IT or Systems Administrator.
- Direct experience with CMMC implementation or NIST SP 800-171 compliance.
- Hands-on experience developing SSPs and POA&Ms.
- A strong understanding of security controls and frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Azure or similar enterprise platforms.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CMMC Level 2 or higher requirements.
- Familiarity with DoD contract environments.
- Experience with ISSO duties and the CMMI Certification process.
- Professional certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCP, or CCA.
- Experience with compliance or security management tools.
- Possession of a CCP – Certified CMMC Professional or CCA – Certified CMMC Assessor certification.
