About the Role

METRO AEBE is looking for an IT Support Engineer - Stores Support to provide technical support across our store network. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for user issues, ensuring the smooth operation of store technology and contributing to system improvements.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical support to end users via calls, ticketing systems, and emails.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to PCs, printers, tablets, POS devices, and scanners.
  • Install and configure software applications.
  • Monitor and manage local network connections, including LAN, switches, and WiFi.
  • Perform routine diagnostic checks.
  • Ensure all support requests are documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles and support documentation.
  • Create and update user manuals.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments to improve systems, tools, and processes.
  • Work on weekly shifts, including morning, afternoon, and Saturday rotations.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree from a University, Technical Institute, or IEK in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows and O365.
  • Understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN concepts.
  • Experience using ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
  • A results-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with scripting or query languages.
