About the Role
The IT Field Support Military Intern will assist with deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-user computing devices and IT infrastructure. Interns will gain practical experience supporting enterprise technology operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and peripheral equipment
- Diagnose and resolve software and operating system issues
- Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting
- Support user account management and access permissions
- Document technical problems and resolution steps
- Participate in workstation imaging and deployment processes
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior staff
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets
- Follow established IT service protocols and procedures
- Assist with printer and peripheral setup and maintenance
- Respond to service desk tickets in a timely manner
- Support software installation and updates
- Contribute to system uptime and reliability efforts
- Adhere to data security and compliance standards
- Work under supervision of experienced IT technicians
- Engage in team meetings and operational briefings
- Follow change management processes for IT deployments
- Assist with data backup and recovery tasks
- Support video conferencing and collaboration tools setup
