You will be an integral part of our technology team focused on logistics and field service business projects, collaborating with stakeholders to understand problems, design solutions, and ensure software meets user needs.
What You'll Do
- Manage ongoing expansion and IT improvement processes for assigned businesses.
- Provide leadership in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation, and presentation of findings.
- Liaise with internal customers and IT departments, following up to completion on programming and IT issues.
- Evaluate new features and functionality available in upcoming software releases.
- Manage a queue of reporting and enhancement requirements from the user base.
- Partner with internal and external vendor Business Analysts on projects.
- Maintain current project notes and communicate information to business partners and developers.
- Work independently and collaboratively with developers to troubleshoot system failures and data discrepancies.
- Partner with the business to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Administer user acceptance testing for all new software, providing final approval for production deployment.
- Define and execute regression test plans for bug fix and upgrade releases.
- Support internal and external Help Desk resources with unresolved questions from application users.
- Respond to escalated, complex questions from users after first two Help Desk tiers.
- Produce accurate and detailed SDLC documentation, including functional requirements, test plans, and test scripts.
- Assist with screen design and interact with programmers during development to answer design questions.
- Test requested functionality after development completes and test interfaces with other systems for conflict.
- Work with business partners to understand workflow gaps and translate them into business and functional requirements.
- Perform ongoing documentation of application enhancements.
- Identify, research, and resolve problems by duplicating failures and documenting corrections.
- Administer time entry and documentation.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good understanding of mobile, ERP, and Logistics systems and technologies.
- Analytically oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for daily client interaction.
- Experience in relational database analysis with strong data query skills.
- Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Excel.
- Ability to distill information and articulate business needs to developers.
- Understanding of the relationships between theoretical information and data.
