ActivTrak is seeking an IT Administrator to manage and secure our on-premise IT infrastructure while providing robust technical support to our distributed, remote-first team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and security of our systems.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain on-premise IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment (LAN/WAN), and end-user hardware.
- Administer and support cloud-based and on-premise software systems, including productivity suites, IAM, MDM, compliance platforms, communication tools, and security solutions.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to all employees for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist in the administration of AI tools, ensuring proper access, security, and usage policies.
- Support company compliance efforts, including providing documentation for SOC 2 audits.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation and device configuration.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor system performance and security logs to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure system reliability and security.
- Support IT infrastructure scaling initiatives to accommodate company growth.
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of professional experience in an IT Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role.
- Proven experience managing IT systems for a software company or a business with a significant remote workforce.
- Demonstrated experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with endpoint security platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID administration.
- Demonstrated experience with email gateway security platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM).
- Demonstrated experience with team communication and collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 audit requirements and processes.
- Strong knowledge of LAN and WAN networking concepts, protocols, and security.
- Experience with desktop hardware and software support (Windows and macOS).
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
