ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is hiring an IT Administrative Assistant to provide direct administrative and operational support to the IT Manager and the wider IT function. This internal role focuses on ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and coordination within our IT environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine administrative tasks in direct support of the IT Manager.
- Maintain and update accurate IT records, documentation, and internal paperwork.
- Conduct internal audits on agents to review system access and compliance.
- Support adherence to all ISTA IT policies and security standards.
- Track and follow up on internal hardware and software deliveries, liaising with vendors.
- Prepare internal status reports for the IT Manager.
- Assist the IT Manager with troubleshooting coordination, scheduling, and communication.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating escalated IT queries until resolution.
- Contact agents to arrange technical calls, equipment collections, and deliveries.
- Provide administrative support for ad-hoc IT-related tasks.
What We're Looking For

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Comfort working with IT systems, processes, and sensitive information.
- Ability to manage priorities and follow up independently.
- Must work EST hours Monday - Friday from 9am to 6pm EST.
- Must be available to work on both South African and US public holidays.
- Must have a fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps upload and download and support a wired Ethernet connection.
- Must have a reliable power backup solution to manage load shedding and power outages.
Nice to Have
- Previous IT administration or support experience.
Team & Environment
You will provide direct support to the IT Manager and the wider IT function, reporting directly to the IT Manager.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position. You must be available to work the required EST hours (9am-6pm EST).
